As long as I remember,
I’ve always been the black sheep,
No other relative is left-handed,
Nor is anyone else at my school has such inset grammar skills,
I wonder often, is there any other like me,
Because no matter how hard I search,
No matter where I turn,
There is none other who shares my quirks ‘round here.

Art is my passion,
To create beauty with a pencil makes me squeal,
To write insanely in the space of but a month is my calling.
During the day, I daydream,
During the night, I dream,
But I have yet to find a truer friend here than a brand-new pencil.

Well, that notion still lives on,
But I have finally found a herd of black sheep.
‘Tis known affectionately to me as the Danny Phantom Online Forums.
The people there are simply wonderful,
Diversity is greatly embraced,
And there are at least twenty on there whom I dearly love,
Even though I may never see their faces.

It all began with but a cartoon,
A cartoon that practically became my life.
‘Tis is on Nickelodeon, at 8:30 P.M. on Fridays,
‘Tis known dearly to me as Danny Phantom
(Danny, mind you, not Johnny as he was called by many)
This cartoon smote me like no other,
Danny, too, is a black sheep, completely unique
To him I can really relate even though he’s just ink on paper.

‘Tis because of my love for the show
That I’ve decided what path I want to take,
It’s the same one Butch Hartman, the creator took,
The course of an animator.
Never before had I been so sure,
With my artistic ability and imagination, I’m sure to fly.

You might tease me,
You might laugh at my obsession,
But I’m so darn stubborn, as you might see.
I will hold fast, with the full knowledge
That the wool of a black sheep is worth more.
Bees and Needles might frighten me,
But harsh words slide right off.
‘Tis because of this that the DPOF practically became my home.
There, I can share my passion with others like me without fear of being judged.
I know I’m different, but, hey,
Aren’t we all?
:)

Another poem from eighth grade.

A lot of this were responses to people who mocked at me for being different, or called my interests just "hobbies", or worse, Danny "just a cartoon". Even back then, I never believed that something with so much spirit with so much personality so much courage was just ink and marker. It was simply impossible.

I still believe that now. :)
